Nuclear Weapons: Current Issues and Articles

Most recently in the news much of the international community has been suspicious of enrichment activity occurring in Iran. The United Nations has threatened economic and diplomatic sanctions unless Iran stops its uranium enrichment. The Washington Post recently published an article in which it is stated that thus far "the International Atomic Energy Agency has said that Iran's pattern of secrecy and deception has contributed to those suspicions, but that there is insufficient evidence to prove Iran is producing nuclear weapons." Full text of the article can be found here and more information about the situation in Iran is here.

In March, India also pledged to allow US inspectors into the country to look over 14 of its civilian nuclear reactors. A full article on the visit can be found here
